Well all of my wonderful family and friends, I should finally be able to keep up to date on my blogging. :-) That's what should happen when one is put on bed rest and can do nothing but use bathroom privelages every two hours and watch Ryan break his back taking care of wife, daughter, school, work, home, church, tenants, and all of the other responsibilities that now load his super-dad pack. Thank goodness Jazz season is over, there wouldn't be enough time in the day to even think about that! Lily is handling things relatively well, and only really puts up a fuss when she tries to drag mommy out of bed and I have to stay put. Other than that, she is loving having lots of visitors and getting into trouble when it's just her and mom and she knows I can't chase her down...unless she's in danger. Then we bend the bed-rest rules a little.
Lily is recovering very well from her surgery and likes to show off her owie and put on a pathetic little face to draw sympathetic responses, which makes her grin from ear to ear.
I am officially a quarter of a century old and spent part of my birthday in the hospital, getting shots from a friendly nurse who said the shots were presents. I liked her, but would have liked her better if the shots didn't make my heart pound and my muscles twitch. Made me feel prematurely crazy...but, I am getting old. :-)
Everyone has been so wonderful and willing to help - we appreciate it more than we can say and are so grateful. Not only for help already received but for continuing support and the help we're going to need over the next few weeks! We feel so blessed.
