Adaptation

I never liked feet until I had babies. Now I think that little piggies are the most beautiful, darling thing there is. Being a mother of two is more than twice as tricky, but I am now remembering the joy of holding a tiny piece of me in my arms and basking in her innocense and beauty. My Lily seems all grown up and I am thrilled as I behold her giving her sister hugs, kisses, and diaper changes while she sweetly sings Twinkle Twinkle to stop her from crying because she shoved the binky into her mouth and now she's mad. As cliche as it is, my family is truly my treasure.

We had a fantastic visit up to Spanish Fork where Avery met a lot of cousins, Lily got to play princess dress-up, and my mom let me sleep in!! Thanks to mama & papa Huff for driving us to and from - I don't think I'd have survived a road trip wiyhout help and good company.

I feel so overwhelmed today. A friend of ours was in the plane crash last Friday that took his life, leaving behind his sweet wife who is eight months pregnant and who planned on starting her final undergraduate semester today. My heart aches for her, while I am amazed at her strength. I feel blessed to know through this tragic experience that I truly do have a testimony of the plan of salvation and feel sorrow only for the loneliness of those who are now missing their loved ones who have passed on. It has given me a chance to truly reevaluate how I cherish the people I love and show them how much I care about them.

Sorry so slow at posting pictures of the past month...I've been a wee bit busy :-) Avery is a whopping 11 lbs 4 oz, has a cold, and still thinks day is night and vice versa. We are tired but content with life as Ryan starts classes today and continues to enjoy his seminary teaching. Soon I will be getting a babysitter so I can read Breaking Dawn and take a bubble bath. :-)
