So, I am behind in my blogging and in my journal...why is it that the busiest times of your life are sometimes the best and usually the ones you would like to record, but don't have time to do so? At least, I haven't made time. And it's been the little things that make life so sweet, but are so easy for me to forget - like Avery's first real smile, Lily discovering her shadow, Ryan telling me that I make his heart sparkle and how it made me feel so wonderful, reconnecting with a good friend I haven't seen for a few years(Lindsey :-), and finishing a creative pillow project for Wendy's new baby girl (creating something beautiful (I hope) like President Uchtdorf said...it's true that it makes you feel bettter!). Life is good.
We have had some fun times lately. Aside from our car accident (pictures of our ghetto car pending) and a few random illnesses, we have attended a few football games (which were lost by our teams, but Lily had so much fun shaking her pompom I didn't care), picked apples off of our trees, began Lily's job chart which she dances for every time she flips them to "done", and spend a lot of time cuddling and watching my girls be cute sisters together.
Ryan is not AS busy as he was a month ago, but is still working away at school, seminary teaching (which he loves) and being a hall director (which he kind of loves, but deals with a lot of sad, "alcohol dependent" students - I'm not supposed to say drunk). We kind of started a new diet plan, too, since we are getting fluffy, but we keep modifying it as we go through sugar withdrawls.
All in all, things are good.
And in reference to all of the things that sometimes don't go so great, I love this quote:
"I'm letting go so that I can open my life more fully to the things that are worth holding on to."
(Thank you Sara!)

Tell Ryan I feel for him. Those "alcohol dependent" (we just said drunk in my day) kids are so draining!!
The girls are adorable and it looks like you're enjoying fall in Cedar City!
