Some days I feel like I've done nothing, then I check my camera and realize how eventful my life truly is. I don't want to let it slip by so fast...
I think we should have named Lily "Lily Belle" like my mom calls her, because she is all about "bells". She wakes up in the morning announcing "I Belle", because Belle is her favorite princess. She sleeps in a hut with Belle on it and tells her goodnight a million times before she can fall asleep, while wearing her Belle princess pajamas that she wears over almost EVERYTHING, day or night. Her favorite song is Jingle Bells, and her new favorite thing to play with is the jingle bell collection in our kitchen table centerpiece. I love this shot...she was playing with the bells, singing to herself and kissing them so lovingly, and I asked her to show them to me and this is what I got. Too cute!
This is just a beautiful child getting ready to play in the "snowman" (NOT just snow; she is very particular about this.)
Avery has a certain affinity for the camel in our little people nativity set. The camel can almost always console her, and she'll chomp on him for minutes on end with a big grin on her face. I think she has found a kindred spirit since all she does these days is drool and spit and drool.
Come on. This is the stinking cutest picture there ever was.
To kick off our "Giving Christmas", we made bird feeders to hang in the tree outside our window. Lily really was having great fun sprinkling the bird seed over the peanut-butter-coated pretzels, and Ryan was stoked to wear the hard hat as he hung the treats up in the tree located in the construction zone that is our backyard. He looked so cute, I couldn't take my eyes off of him! I have a sneaking suspicion that this grouchy shot of Lily is like looking into her eyes 12 years from now. Teenagers. Yipes!
Avery has successfully eaten rice cereal! Now that she is over her RSV and can breathe again, we tried feeding her and - as you can see - she tore the bowl from my hands and licked it clean! Great job punkin!
We are also fish-sitting for some friends and caught this little clip of Lily meeting "Nemo" (that's what she names every fish).
And last but not least, FINALLY a clip of Avery laughing. She is camera-shy when it comes to giggles, so it was fun to get her little chuckle on "film" at last. (I am so old-school...what do you say these days? Disc? Card? Drive? Anyway, you know what I mean...)
So, even though there are some days when I look at my life and feel like I've done nothing, while I simultaneously feel overwhelmed with all that I need to do, I see this and know that we do much and life is GOOD.

Avery's eyes are beautiful! Did Lily eat the fish? Or does Ryan need to clean the bowl? I can't see it.
Okay, so I have to watch the movie to see it!
