Funny how a little thing like replacing a sewer line makes you think and be grateful for all of the 'little' things in life. Like indoor plumbing and sanitation. And backhoes.
Evidently, our sewer line runs diagonally from the back of our house to the road. This was discovered after digging two 10-foot deep holes in areas where they thought the line connected to the house and where a clean-out valve would go, and now they might be digging another hole in the backyard before they can even start on the street. Who designed this house?
I will post a few pics of the demolition progress. They tore out some fencing and busted a few water and sprinkler lines along the way and we're only halfway done. Life sure is exciting! They may do us a favor and rip out an old tree stump while they're at it. :-)
